This is not your typical fangirl Friday. I cannot help how I feel though. I am currently fangirling my heart out over Ma Dong Seok. It all started with watching Bad Guys. You know that crime dramas are my absolute favorite genre, along side the supernatural genre of course, and he is playing the shit out of his role as Park Wong Chul.

It got me to thinking…I’ve seen this man before. I will be completely honest. I am terrible with names. You can tell me 10 times in a day someone’s name and unfortunately, I won’t remember. Call it forgetfulness or ajummah brain, but I have it. So I had to google who was playing such a fantastic role.

Ma Dong Seok.

And I realized. I had seen almost EVERYTHING he’s been in. And loved most of it.

The Five, The Unjust (I really didn’t care for this one) One on One (this was a WTF movie) Midnight FM and on and on…

Part of me feels like he’s a typecast because the majority of the movies I’ve seen him in, he’s played either a gangster with a heart, a cop who moonlights as a gangster or a bad guy that’s a gangster. You see where I’m going with this? But regardless of the role, he plays it so well (at least in my eyes). I could totally see him coming to rescue me on a dark and stormy night when I’m running for my life from some baddie…and then he beats the crap out of them, lol.

I’m taking the time to go back through his acting career and watching anything I’ve missed so be prepared for an onslaught of reviews on his movies/dramas/etc. You’ve been warned. I mean really this is what a fangirl is supposed to do right?

If you haven’t seen his latest drama, Bad Guys, you are losing at life right now. Check out the trailer below. You’re welcome. Oh and let me know what you’ve seen Ma Dong Seok in and what you thought of his acting.
