Last night was the Wayv Beyond Live Concert put on by SM Entertainment and Label V. I wasn’t going to attend but somehow my husband found me sitting at the end of my bed singing along at almost the top of my lungs at 3 in the morning. Even though I had work in the morning and only had 3 hours of sleep, I would do this again in a heartbeat. Let me explain.
I didn’t want to shell out $30 for a concert I wasn’t physically attending. After thinking about it though, I realized that I wouldn’t EVER see Wayv live. Between the pandemic currently ravaging the world AND the fact that they aren’t a k-pop group, I knew I had to make the right decision and spend those coins.
The Beyond Live Concert was being streamed via V-Live so the process of ordering and viewing was fairly simple. I set two alarms and made sure I got a nap in so I’d be ready for the event. It’s been a few months since my last concert and I didn’t realize until 10 minutes before the start, that I MISSED it. The excitement building up to the event, what you were going to wear, who you were going to see, all of it.
I don’t make how I feel about SM Entertainment a secret but gosh darn it, the Wayv Beyond Live concert was THAT. CONCERT. My kids were so good and when that fan told the group that she would always support them and Lucas broke down…I broke down.
the fan said ‘don’t ever worry about us leaving you guys we will always be here” and wayv were so moved lucas started crying 🥺

MUSIC
Now on to the actual concert, the music itself. *chef’s kiss*
I’m serious. It was that good. I wish I could post some clips from the concert but it’s not available on Youtube. Let’s just enjoy some photos a member of my Discord family took (thanks Octobre).
They played their title songs Take-Off & Moonwalk and took us on a journey of their discography. My neighbors surely heard my screech when they started King of Hearts. At the end of the night, they played a new B-side from their upcoming album. I don’t know when they will release it but I hope it’s soon.
In between sets, Wayv would talk to fans that could be seen via Zoom. Seeing how happy they were when hearing how excited the fans were really made the night special.
The Take-Away
I need to see them in concert. Like I REALLY want/need to see them. This was one of the most exciting concerts I’ve been to. Wayv was happy, excited to see how loved they were, and put everything they had on that stage. By the end of the event, everyone was covered in sweat and tears. If they ever have an online concert like this again, I recommend spending the $30 to view it. I know I’m leaving so many moments out of this post but..you just have to trust me, the concert was amazing.
Let me know if you watched the concert and what your favorite moment was.
