B.A.P Live on Earth Concert in Washington, D.C.

HodgePodge

Hey, hey, everyone! I didn’t disappear again I promise. Okay well I did but it was for a very good reason. I was able to attend the BAP Live On Earth Concert in DC last night. I left the Hampton Roads area around 10:30 and was making good time until I hit 95-North (EFF YOU DC CONSTRUCTION!) After getting lost for like 20 mins trying to find my hotel room, I get there and meet up with Kat.

Got my my room key from an uber excited worker, Dwight, ran to the room, changed clothes, and then headed to the Rosslyn Metro Station. Can I say WTF?? This has to be the the longest escalator in the country.

I am not ashamed to say that I am afraid of heights. If I’m in the airplane, fine but being 5’9 plus wearing wedged heels meant I was towering over people and looking down was not fun. So I did what any normal person who was afraid of falling 1100 feet to her death would do. I sat my ass down.

I made sure I kept it cute for the picture but you see the death grip I had on the banister? LOL I was scared to death.

A quick ride on the metro and we were there at the Warner Theater. Since the pre show business was like 2 miles away from the theater, we decided to just get there early. Well, a lot of people decided that as well so there was a bit of a line. Nothing like the Big Bang madness in Jersey but still, there were folks.

2 hours to kill but that wasn’t THAT long because we were surrounded by a lot of uber excited fans. I always like people who dress up for the concert because it keeps me entertained and its interesting to hear the reasoning behind why they chose that particular outfit.

So yeah blah blah, stuff to see, crazy parents, even crazier fans, and hot back-up dancers.

We were very entertained. We even spent some time doing selcas.

Don’t we look cute? Anyways while we were waiting for the folks who won the high touch (high-five) to go in and come back out, this worker from the theater comes out and starts telling folks that there is no photography of any kind during the concert. If he caught you taking pics, he was going to take your camera, your phone, WHATEVER it was. He was serious about his job, lol. I had planned on taking pics anyway (cause that’s how I roll) with my phone (too bad my phone had other ideas, grr).

Finally we get in and get to our seats.  First up was New Heights who I remember hearing about from David So’s youtube channel. They played…2 songs I think and were really good. Next up was Joseph Vincent. I didn’t know who he was before the concert but quickly rectified that once I got back to the hotel room. He ended his set with taking an instagram shot of the crowd. Seriously how can you be mad at that?

After that it was FINALLY time for B.A.P. Let me say this now. Those boys are great entertainers. As soon as they got on stage you could feel their energy. The Warner Theatre isn’t big but you couldn’t tell by the way they were jumping around the stage and showering their sweat on the fans in the front of the crowd.

Everyone was jumping around, dancing and screaming out their bias’ name. There were seats but you know no one was sitting for those 120 mins. Now remember when I said I was gonna be gansta and take pictures even though tough guy security said not to? Well while I was figuring out how to get good shots since I must be the only person on Earth that doesn’t have an iPhone or Galaxy S-whatever, the same security guy comes CLIMBING OVER the back of the seat and snatches the phone out of the girl’s hand who’s in front of me.  And I’m talking about grabbing it and YANKING it away. On top of that he screamed (though it could be because it was loud) that he “told her outside he meant business”. 0_o Sir I understand that this is your job but please settle down just a bit. There is no need to body surf the crowd to get people’s phones & cameras.

Not even going to front, dude had me paranoid as hell so I didn’t take any pictures. Kat on the other hand, did an awesome job….until dude got her camera 🙁 SO here are some she got before dude set his sights on her.

duet of I believe I can fly

So yeah… unfortunately you’ll have to look on tumblr for video and more pictures because this is it. But I was a happy noona fan…okay a young ajummah fan. After about 10-12 songs plus 2-3 encore songs (my mind is slipping and I can’t remember the exact count) we left the venue (after retrieving Kat’s phone). Quick ride on the Metro, another ride on the escalator of death, with me sitting again (lol)

…and we were back at the hotel. The hotel in which, the worker was STILL there. STILL happy to see us. STILL trying to flirt. That story will have to be for another day though because I am tired just reliving it all. Good time was had and I will definitely want to do another concert soon.

So tell me, did you go to any k-pop concert recently? How was it? Let me know in the comments!
