Holy smokes! Subkulture is not playing with us this year! They’ve announced not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 concerts coming. In addition to Kard, Day 6 and the recently announced SF9, Subkulture Entertainment will be bringing BewhY on his first tour in the US.
Here’s why this is important to me and should be important to you.
BewhY is a damn beast. If you don’t know who he is (why?) listen closely. He debuted in 2014 BewhY went and on to win first place on ‘Show the Money 5’, where he earned recognition and even the nickname ‘Monster Rapper’. Receiving an explosive response for every release thereafter and topping all major music charts, BewhY’s unique music, an expression of the rapper’s honest beliefs and values, has become so popularized that it’s been deemed a ‘Syndrome’.
In May and June of this year, two new songs, “Dejavu” and “Rest Area”, were released one after the other, and the imminent release of his new album was met with fans’ high expectations. BewhY whet appetites with ‘The Blind Star 0.5’, the release of the first part of his album which includes five songs, and received an immense response from his fans. His tracks ‘Red Carpet’ featuring Gray and ‘9UCCI BANK’ featuring Dok2 express a colorful picture of the glamorous life BewhY experienced after ‘Show Me the Money’ and how he saw himself changing within that new lifestyle. The rest of the tracks from ‘The Blind Star’, which are scheduled for a September 17th release, are said to tell a different story about what BewhY imagined his life to be like and the worries he faced.
I am so excited that he is coming to the States and I seriously hope that he comes to a city near me. Plus, it’s happening in November (my birthday month) so you KNOW this will be the perfect present. Now the details like ticket prices, cities and venues haven’t been released yet so stick with me and I will update you here or on social media.
