Happy early 2014!!! Okay well obviously it isn’t 2014 yet but I wanted to get a jump on the dramas of 2014. So to start this wonderful year, I’ve chosen the following dramas: Miss Korea & Let’s Eat.
Miss Korea is about a beauty company that is getting ready to go bankrupt. The owner of the company, Kim Hyun Joong (played by Lee Sun Kyun) decides to enter a woman he knew from high school into the Miss Korea contest. The hope is that they will win & he will get the recognition as well as some of the prize money to bail his company out of trouble.
Reason Why I’m Watching: Lee Sun Kyun. His voice is amazing and yes he’s a pretty good actor. I could listen to that man read the alphabet and be very happy. Also Pole from Flower Boy Ramen Shop is in it and I think he’s so damn handsome. I’m watching on Dramafever because mama is slowly losing patience with commercials, lol.
Let’s Eat is about a divorce who has a love affair with food. There’s a murder, a dog & an ajussi that likes to scratch his butt and then smell his hand (ewwww!). I really don’t know the characters who’s in it but here’s why I’m watching it.
Reason Why I’m Watching: THE FOOD! O.M.G. The way they make the food look is so damn good! I mean you cannot watch an episode without getting hungry. Shoot even as I type this, I’m eating omurice and cucumber kimchi simply because of this show.
As a matter of fact, while watching episode 2 I came up with this fantastic idea of recreating a dish from each episode and putting it on youtube. It would be a good way to see if the foods actually taste as good as these characters make it seem. Also a good way to actually eat the food, lol.
