It’s a sad day in the Korean drama watching world. Dramacrazy.net is closing.
The news broke sometime last night (I saw it roll across twitter around 9 ish) and was completely floored. Now I haven’t used the site in a long while (due to the fact that I couldn’t get it on my tv) but I have used it in the past because it had some harder to find dramas. I think I actually watched Spy Myung Wol on it. If you go to the site, this is what you’ll see.
To Our Loyal Fans:
After a great run, we have decided to shut down DramaCrazy and move on. The drama streaming landscape is ever so changing and it was a fun ride while it lasted. Rather than just shut down without a note, we’ll leave the site up for a few hours while we allow you guys to gather your contacts and stuff on the forums. Much Love, -The Staff
The shut down may or may not have something to do with the fact that the South Korean government has introduced new Copy right laws this year and has sent out 468,446 take-down notices in March this year to combat media piracy online.
I do understand the need to crack down on piracy problems, but as a hard core k-drama watcher, I feel that perhaps the South Korean government should take into consideration that fans outside of their country may not have access to dramas without sites like dramacrazy.net If they want to continue to grow in popularity (Hallyu Wave) maybe they could reconsider.
Oh well, it was a great ride while it lasted. I am curious to see where everyone is watching dramas, now that dramacrazy is gone.

I found out about DarkSmurfsub Monday and they are now streaming some of the latest. They are using a translator tool but then someone goes and cleans up the subs but once they do, the subs are okay but for hard to find ones, I'm happy with just some English to help me understand better. I've found all of my daily dramas there to include Im Joo Hwan's Ugly Alert (already to ep 16!),
