I started watching dramas last summer with Boys Over Flowers. I think half of the K-drama addicts out there started the same way. I never really kept track on how many dramas I’ve watched because I figured if I saw the total hours I devoted to them, I’d be embarrassed.
A friend of mine told me about mydramalist and urged me to sign up. I made my way over and was shocked at how extensive their list of dramas was (they still say their Beta, can’t wait to see the finished product). I signed myself up and got to work. Now here’s the thing, this young ajummah KNOWS she is missing some dramas. You know how it goes…
“Oh I know that ajussi! I saw him in another drama…what was the name of it again??” *sigh* I know I’m not the only one that has forgotten a few shows that weren’t THAT great but we powered through because we had to see the end of it. Anyway after a few hours and a tired brain, I had completed my list (sort of). According to that wonderful site, I have watched 28 dramas for a total of 508 episodes, and it took 21.54 days to do it. And that’s not even including the dramas I’m currently watching, stuff I started but have put on hold, dramas I plan to watch and movies. Sheesh! 95% of me feels like I should receive a medal or something for my dedication but there is that sneaky 5% that says, really with the questioning eyebrow raised a la The Rock.
Am I going to stop or slow down on my drama watching? If I can help it, no. How could I? There are so many amazing actors and actresses out there that I have to see and support. And of course how can you not watch dramas once you start? Anyway I’m off to get in a few episodes of Bridal Mask before bedtime. How many dramas have you watched? Look at my drama list and see if we’ve seen any of the same dramas and send me your lists.

You have to watch Damo. It will scar you for life, but you'll be grateful for it. Or maybe just drown in your own tears. But for real, watch it. It has the BEST LOVE TRIANGLE EVAR + a real plot + great ensemble cast. I saw it a year ago and still am not recovered.
@Mihinikki Damo was one of the only historical dramas I watched and loved! And you are so right, I cried my way through it.
