Okay let me first say ASDFGHJKL!!!! Secondly I’d like to follow up with this response.

Finally! After my wishing and pleading with the k-drama gods, they’ve finally heard & responded. THERE IS GOING TO BE AN IRIS 2! If I were Martina from EYK I would be doing that weird happy dance thing she does. I’m doing it in my mind though.

The cast has been set and filming will begin in October with the release date somewhere in the first half of next year.

Lee Da Hae (Miss Ripley) and Jang Hyuk (Tree With Deep Roots) are set to be the leads in this action packed thriller. Jang Hyuk will be the team leader at NSS and Da Hae will be the sharp shooting NSS agent.

Kim Seung-woo (IRIS, Miss Ripley) and Kim Min-jong (A Gentleman’s Dignity, Athena) will be reprising their roles from Iris and Athena.  Seung Woo will be the North Korean spy team leader who must have 9 lives because he should have been dead about 15 times no. Min Jong will play a former North Korean spy who has gotten used to being in South Korea and is an informant.

Im Soo-hyang (I Do, I Do), Kang Jiyoung (KARA) and Lee Joon (MBLAQ) are the new commers with Jiyoung and Lee Joon partnering up as rookie agents for NSS.

Now here’s why I’m a bit nervous about the new cast and season. For me, IRIS was sooo damn good (except for the ending). I’m afraid that this new business won’t live up to the name and hype. Also NO TOP -___-. I realize he was  (SPOILER ALERT) killed off in the first season but damn he was a great assassin…. Okay. Enough with the back and forth. There’s still a bunch of time and a lot of dramas to get through before this airs so I’m not going to freak myself out with this now. I’m just happy that this is finally happening.
