Oh my Ma Jun ah, how I love your angry, angsty self. I first met you when one of my twitter friends recommended watching Baker King, Kim Tak Goo. That drama has about 30 episodes so I was a bit resistant but once I pushed play, I couldn’t stop until I finished the drama. Shoot, even my husband sat and watched a few episodes with me. He was so angry, so devious, so…sexy. *spaces out a bit then, shakes head* Sorry. I thought the actor, Joo Won, was so dang talented in that drama that he should have won an award. Remember how you felt about SeNa from Rooftop Prince? You hated her but you loved her (and her style), well that is how I felt about Ma Jun-ah (that’s his character name in Baker King, and how I always refer to him). I haven’t watched Ojakgyo Brothers because 58 episodes seems to be a bit…much for me, but I have heard some great things about the drama.
Just when I was starting to miss Joo Won’s angry face, he’s back and starring in Bridal Mask. It took me about 2 episodes to get addicted to this action drama but OMG, I can’t get enough. True to form, Joo Won (who plays Lee Kang To), is angry. I mean HULK SMASH angry. The drama is amazing and I implore you to keep a box of tissues near by. If you’ve seen Joo Won’s other drama and think you’ve seen the extent of his acting range, you are in for a shock. His acting in Bridal Mask has got the be the best I have seen from him and I’m only at episode 6. I am still recovering from it too (yes it is that real and thank you to all my fellow kdrama addicts on twitter for the warnings you gave me).
If you haven’t seen Joo Won in anything, please get out from under the kdrama rock and get to watching! How can you ignore this face?
