Admit it. Sometimes you feel the need to spread the love of Korean drama. I know I do. I’ve gotten my mother on it, my children (every once in a while) and my husband…. hmmm. He’s a doll because he supports my craziness strong love of all things Hallyu. He just doesn’t seem to get into it the way I do. Until he saw the k-drama Holy Land. He approved. He was interested. He wanted to know when the next episode was (unfortunately there are only 4 episodes). After it was over, he kind of pulled away again. It was alright though because NOW I knew what needed to be done. I MADE A LIST! It was quite simple really, and had no idea why I didn’t do it before! What list, did you ask? Oh well its quite simple. I made a list of k-dramas I knew would be interesting to my manly man of a husband.
Holyland
Holyland is a fantastic intro for you to show your guy pal. It’s only 4 episodes and its about street fighting. Bonus for you because it has Hoon and Donghae from U-Kiss. Each episodes focused on a different type of fighting: regular street fighting, Tae Kwon Do, etc. AND it’s light on the romance.
City Hunter
Ugh…Lee Min Ho. What am I going to do with you??? This drama was like third one I saw when I first started watching dramas. I watched this series with no subs, NO SUBS…you realize I mean business. This one is sort of iffy because its long, there is ridiculous, traditional romance. but the fighting and the plot is interesting. At least the hubby thought so, though he complained about all the extra bits.
Three Days
This drama just wrapped and HOLY CRAP!!! I loved it. I watched it for Yoochun but was pleasantly surprised by how interesting it was. I’m normally into political dramas but this one was good. Action from the beginning and it had both of us throwing out accusations over who the culprit was. (We were wrong more then a few times). I heard that Yoochun got hurt but continued to do almost all of his stunts. I can’t find a dag on trailer for this drama (WTF man) but you can watch it on Dramafever and/or Hulu.
IRIS
It’s been a while since I made him watch this but from what I remember, we both LOVED this drama. He liked the espionage and fight scene and I liked Lee Byung Hun & TOP.
seriously…how can I not love this drama. From me to you, this drama could have been about dust bunnies & I’d watch it. Freaking VIck.
Where was I going with this… oh yeah. Dramas to entice your male friends/husbands/boyfriends/etc.

This one is in my top 5 drama list. There isn’t that much fight scene action BUT if your mate likes solving crimes then this is the one to watch. Part CSI, part Law & Order…this drama had me at the end of my chair for the whole series.
I am going to leave it at five though I know that there is more out there (Gap Dong, The Ghost Seeing Detective, etc). But let me know what you think. What are some dramas that your male friends watch? Did you introduce them to it? Let me know on twitter or in the comment section below.

You might want to add Cruel City. I think the guys would love it. It has a considerably much more gritty and darker vibe.
