LAWD YES. Finally. After like 4 years, a military enlistment, a relationship (side eye at Kim Tae Hee) Fangirls & fanboys can rejoice. Rain is back! And he is not playing any games.

The teasers came out about 2 days ago and they were nosebleed inducing indeed.

For the record he’s say 30 sexy NOT dirty sexy…though I wouldn’t mind him saying dirty sexy (yessss).

Rather then wait forever to release his album, Bi actually pushed the release date forward and gave us a happy new year in deed.

He released 2 m/vs at the same time. I don’t think I could squeal loud enough out of happiness.

LOL. It was real.  But it gets even better because his album was released on iTunes which meant I could buy all the wonderfulness. So let’s get into it, track by track.

Intro: Just getting things started.

30Sexy: As I said before, this will be my theme song for as long as I will be in my 30s. The song & video is something I’ve expected from Rain; r&b with some pop thrown in to keep things interesting.

LA Song: I don’t think I can remember Rain doing a song & m/v like this. As a matter of fact I don’t remember hearing him rap like this before. I am not mad at that. AND can we talk about the video??? Thank you Rain and all who produced it for including  DIVERSE back up dancers. It had a Prince feel to it, to me.

Oppa feat Hyuna: Trap music! Twerk it girl! These were some of the thoughts that popped into my head when I heard this song. Rain and Hyuna got freaking nasty on this song (but in  a good way). I’m already saying 어디 가요. 오빠 all the time.

Marilyn Monroe: Very smooth. Something I’m used to hearing with Rain. I can imagine him sliding across the stage doing a cool two step to this. I’d two step right along with him. *sigh*

Baby: Umm… baby making music. I don’t really have any other words then that. Just. yes to all THAT business. (again side eye to Kim Tae Hee). Seriously if there is ever a m/v or live stage of this song…every single cloud would explode. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this song since I’ve downloaded it.

Superman: reminds me of something I’d hear at the club. It’s alright but after the last song…well yeah 0_o.

I Know: Again its an okay song (in my opinion naturally) but it doesn’t hit me they way 30Sexy, Oppa & Baby did.

Dear Mama Don’t Cry: I don’t know what the song is about. My first thought was another baby making song. BUT I know that he lost his mother so I don’t know if maybe this is something dedicated to her (which would make my thoughts about this song VERY awkward). BUT based on the beat and the flow of his words…it makes me think baby making music.

30Sexy Remix:  Ehhh…it’s not better then the original but it’s aiiiggght.

Final thoughts:

I love this comeback. Rain is letting everyone know he’s not some snot nosed kid. He’s a 30 sexy man (see what I did there) and is here to stay. Bring on the #RainEffect! Let me know if you like the album and what is your favorite track.
