Quirk: peculiarity of behavior; an idiosyncrasy
I’m trying something new here folks. As you know, Ajummah watches a lot of Korean dramas and movies. And while watching, I’ve come across a lot of quirks that I am curious about. At times they drive me absolutely crazy: piggybacks, wrist grabs, surprise kisses, etc. So I’ve decided to start a series (sort of) to kind of just vent and to see if I am not alone in wondering about these things. So up first:
What is the big deal about blood 피?
OMG I’m gonna die!!!! ASDFGHJKL -_- |
Okay, we’ve all seen it. Someone gets a nosebleed or a scratch and the next thing you know, there’s a complete freakout.
Folks are running to the hospital or getting tampon sized tissue wads shoved up their noses and for what purpose?
just stuff this in and you’ll be fine |
Is human blood so precious in the Korean drama world that if one drop falls on the ground it’s the end of the world? Or at the very least bad luck? (By the way there is a Korean horror movie called Dark Forest where if you spill your blood in the forest, you die and turn into a zombie of sorts).
Maybe there’s some secret that I don’t know about. Like I might think it’s just a bloody nose or a papercut but in reality it’s something more serious.
Meh. Maybe I’m over thinking things. I do make a face whenever I see the blood freak-out thing though. Am I alone in this? Tweet me or leave a comment below.
