Korean Variety Show Crime Scene

Now, this is my type of reality show! I don’t know how I almost missed this one but I am so glad I didn’t! Well actually…I didn’t pay attention because there has been such an onslaught of variety shows lately, I can’t keep up. Plus none of them really interested me so… But anyways yes. I was in some random forum when I came across a blurb about the show and decided to head over to Dailymotion to check it out. I am so glad I did!

Crime Scene casts six celebrities to play the roles of six suspects in a crime. They have to use their investigative and deductive skills to catch the criminal amongst themselves. Right now only the first episode is subbed (each crime lasts two episodes) and can we say hysterical? Henry is a joy to watch because he is just so darn funny! Some of it is intentional but I find small pleasure in the language mistakes he makes. I’m not making fun because I can’t speak Korean AT ALL but his facial expressions while talking are priceless. That and his love of the Inspector Gadget theme while hunting clues make me want to stick around regardless of the premise of the show.

The show really got to me though! I was so close to grabbing a notebook to write down clues and try to figure out who the real culprit was…maybe in my next lifetime I can be a cop. Or at least someone who plays a cop on tv. Anyways, great job to JBTC for actually thinking of a way to keep the audience interested in tuning in. With this particular variety show, the audience gets to vote, ala American Idol, and guess who the criminal is. If they get it right, they win a prize! Unfortunately, this is just for viewers in the South Korea because otherwise, you KNOW I’d be all over it. Hopefully, the next episode is subbed and released soon because I am dying to know if the person I suspect is the actual culprit.
