Koreos Star In The Road To KCON Series

Conventions & Concerts

If you know me, you know I love dancing. I’m not great at it, but I love it. Oh ajummah, all you need to do is practice. Oh really? Exhibit A:

See? The intent is there but the execution… look I tried y’all, okay? Thankfully KCON is bringing someone more professional to LA this year but in true KCON fashion, they can’t JUST bring someone. They are doing it in style. Have you heard of the dance group, Koreos?

This summer, the new original series Road to KCON presented by Toyota will follow the popular K-pop dance troop the Koreos as they make their way across the country in the new Toyota C-HR on their way the largest Korean pop culture fan convention in the world, KCON 2017 LA (www.kconusa.com).  Along the way, the group of diverse dancers with unique backgrounds will visit different towns where fun missions and games from popular Korean game shows like Running Man will wait. They will also meet different Americans along the way as they spread their love of K-pop. As the long-running presenting sponsor for KCON USA, Toyota is a consistent supporter of the Korean wave, with the creation of Road to KCON being the next exciting chapter.

The series is set to premiere this summer prior to KCON 2017 LA. Eight episodes, each under ten minutes are planned with one episode airing each week on KCON.TV – the leading short-form streaming video platform dedicated to Korean entertainment and beyond. The finale will take place at KCON 2017 LA, which will take place on August 18-20 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles. Additional content will also air on KCON.TV and the Koreo’s social channels.

I am so curious to see what cities they’ll be in and what they’ll have to do. Hopefully, I can grab a picture with them once they actually get to LA. Maybe strike a pose like I’ve been dancing all my life with them. Because you know I’m a dancer at heart.
