Love Rain OST

I’ve liked Jang Geun Suk ever since I saw him in Mary Stayed Out All Night. I still can’t go a week without singing some of the songs from that OST. Love Rain starts in the 1970s with Suh In Ha falling in love with Kim Yoon Hee in three seconds (if only that happened in real life). They have feelings for each other but In Ha’s best friend also likes Yoon Hee. Feeling conflicted about the whole thing, In Ha ends up helping his friend get together with Yoon Hee and the two end up drifting apart. Years later (present day) Yoon Hee’s daughter, Jung Hana and In Ha’s son, Seo Joon meet in Japan and fall in love kdrama style (you know, start off hating each other but then slowly fall in love). The drama is still airing so whether or not they have a happy ending remains to be seen.

Now to the OST. In Ha’s theme song, sang by Jang Geun Suk is a very sweet ballad. I’ll be honest, it makes me tear up. Not the full out crying that some ballads cause me to do but when you hear Geun Suk start singing, your head starts nodding side to side, you do the deep sigh and then…misty eyes. Now add all of that plus actually watching him on screen and I’m sure you’ll start tearing up too. Na Yoon Kwon’s Love Is Like Rain is the end theme to the drama and one of the more upbeat songs on the OST. Song Of Rain is the track that makes you want to do the full on cry. It also makes me want to learn how to play the piano and violin at the same time just so that I can do a proper cover of it. Simply beautiful. It actually reminds me of the song Its Unfamiliar from the Boys Over Flowers OST.

Love Rain’s OST is soothing, sweet and definitely something I would listen to on a rainy day.
