Okay, I am a k-drama addict. We all know this, no secret. I also like kpop but never really get too into it here because, well I prefer to talk about dramas. BUT last night I heard 2Bic’s Love Again and I knew that I had to tell the world (or at least the ones that read this blog).

What can I say? I LOVE THIS SONG! I LOVE THIS GROUP! 2BIC, which stands for 2 Bi Continued (not some of the crap I’ve read from folks), is a duo group that debuted earlier this year. They have a soulful sound that is really amazing to listen to in my headphones.  I read that they are listed under k-pop but this sound is more k-r&b (a la JYP). The chords, the riff before going up an octave towards the end of the song…as soon as I find out if they have a fan group, I’m signing up.

Now for the rant… these blankity blank fans that criticize 2Bic simply because of their weight need to settle down and keep quiet.

Alright so they don’t look like some of the idols that have thousands of fans (Jaejoong, GD, 99% of Super Junior). What does that have to do with how well they sing? I know kpop fans are vastly different than American music fans but good grief. Some of the comments that were left on the video went too far. I don’t give a flying f*!@ what the person and/or group looks like. If I dig their music, I dig their music. And if they happen to look like Kim Hyun Joong then even better. If not then hey that’s fine because for me it’s about the music, and I know I’m not alone on that.I’m not saying that idols should have zero care about their looks but my goodness, to be shunned simply because of it… AND for the record they’ve lost a ton of weight before they debuted.
