I am going to try my very best to do this man justice. The one thing that frustrates me to no end is the language barrier and the lack of English translations on stuff that I need. I enjoy Korean music that goes beyond k-pop. Korean hiphop, R&B, jazz and even indie…whatever grabs my ear, I’m into it. *sigh* so if there any mistakes in this, I am so sorry. I doing the best with what I have ( 미안 해요 ). Having said that, let’s get into this week’s music Tuesday, my new obsession, Rex.D

I don’t even know how I came across him but I thank my many pointless hours on youtube. The first song I heard was Ordinary Love feat. Sanchez of Phantom (my current favorite).

You know what a sucker I am to the hip-hop/R&B blend. I think I squealed. At first I listened to this song on repeat because I couldn’t figure out how a man can go from such a cool rap flow ( I don’t want to call it deep, though I did hear a few words that were bassing it) to a smooth falsetto. After countless replays I decided it didn’t matter how he did it, he would be featured on the next episode of Daebak City.

Next up was his song To Violet. Holy snapchat ya’ll…did he…did he kill this woman? That was my initial thought when watching this video. I don’t want to say anything more because I am desperately trying to get back into my video reactions and want to do all his m/vs. Or at least 2 of them.  If you’ve ever been in a bad relationship and you don’t wish the person well at all, then this song is most definitely for you.

Here’s the frustrating part that I was talking about earlier. I don’t know if this is his official debut or not. Just because I haven’t heard of him doesn’t mean he didn’t exist. On LOEN’s Music channel it says its his pre-release so that leads me to believe this is debut but when I go to his record label, he’s got like 10 m/vs on there. So WTF? Well regardless, I’m glad that I found him and you will be too. Trust me. His covers are freaking amazing. (That India Arie cover tho???)
