Rooftop Prince reminds me every week why I don’t like to watch dramas that are currently airing. I sit hunched over every Friday for two hours, alternating between laughing and crying at the shenanigans that take place. I want to review the show in entirety at a later date but right now I just want to talk about the music. More specifically, Ali’s Hurt. I am a kpop lover, yes, but first and foremost I am a kdrama addict and it is in my humble opinion that kdrama OSTs have some of the best music in the world. Ali’s Hurt gets played whenever there is an emotionally draining scene. This music is so haunting that it makes me feel like someone is pressing down on my chest forcing the tears to leak out. I don’t even have to watch the show either. I can just hear the song on youtube and instantly sob. Totally not kidding. It’s beautiful and sad and oh my gosh I wish I could play this on the piano.

The instrumental version is even better. Sometimes  I like to just hear a song and not focus on the words. I come from a music family and even though the talent to play anything skipped me, music still lives in me. I am starting to sound really weird aren’t I? Ok, Ok, I won’t drone on about how the melody flows. Just listen to it with your eyes closed and you’ll understand what I mean.
