Up10tion, Please! A few weeks ago, I wrote about the Viki/Zany Bros/Soompi collaboration called Up10tion, Please!  As I said in the previous article, I don’t know much about Up10tion but I did see them during KCON NY and they were super cute. Their music is catchy as well so I definitely will have to listen to more of it as I get to know these young men.

I watched the first 3 episodes of their reality show and I have to say it’s super cute. Each episode is about 15 minutes max, and the boys have to do challenges that their fans vote on through Soompi’s twitter account. I was a little hesitant when I saw the first challenge was to sing to foreigners on the street because I don’t think they are very confident in their English and I already feel mama bear-ish to them. I didn’t want some stranger to laugh at them or make fun of them while they tried to communicate. Thankfully that wasn’t the case.

After singing their hearts out, the boys convened at a cafe where they had to use body language (like Charades) to order what they wanted to drink. It was hysterical. I think only 1 team out of 3 managed to order successfully. Finally, Up10tion had to give each other praises (in English I might add) and recreate scenes from dramas their fans chose.

In Episode 2, Up10tion had to guess the Engish pop song in 1 second, race across the floor while other teams tried to block them, and grab the microphone to give their answer. It was so adorable that even I tried to guess the songs. I felt bad that I knew less than they did, lol.

Episode 3 is my favorite so far. Upt10tion broke into 2 teams and applied makeup on 2 Youtubers, HeyItsFei and Raissa. After completing the challenge, Fei chose a winning group and…actually I don’t really know what they win. Bragging rights? Pot of gold? Who knows. Anyways this episode had me cracking up as the boys were CLEARLY clueless about what the products were and how to apply them properly. When Fei said that she would wear the makeup at night so no one could see it, I almost fell off my bed laughing.

Episodes come out on Wednesdays and I am actually looking forward to the next one. I didn’t get specific when naming the members of Up10tion because I still don’t know them.
